On Monday it was the official opening of our new school library and it has been published in the Evening Post today (17th September). We recently went over to explore the new library and take a look at the all the brand new books. Take a look at us enjoying our first visit. We couldn't get our heads out of the books.

Handwriting
Take a look at how hard we are working on our handwriting in Year 4. All children have been trying really hard in handwriting lessons and are now transferring this beautiful writing into their other work books.

We have now started our French lessons and are thoroughly enjoying them. The children are asking lots of inquisitive questions and always wanting to learn more. So far, we have learnt to say hello, goodbye and how are you, along with asking someone their name and replying.

Swimming
Don't forget, every Wednesday we will be having our swimming lessons. Please make sure your child has their swimming kit in school even if you are walking with us. Please ensure they have their costume/trunks and a towel. No jewellery should be worn to school on swimming days.
Thank you in advance to all parents who are helping us walk over to the leisure centre tomorrow and the coming weeks. Your help is much appreciated.

Welcome Back
A new start in Year 4
I am very pleased to be teaching the same children again this year and look forward to another year of fun and exciting learning. Our first big topic is the Romans. Please encourage your child to carry out extra research at home and this can go into their homework books and be shared in class. Next Friday you will receive the class overview to find out what else we will be learning this term.
Your child will have brought home a pink letter about swimming today. Don't forget to sign your child's swimming letter and return it as soon as possible.
